Uncapped it scrolls and paginates on its own, so it must be given bounded height and must not be placed inside a container that is already scrolling vertically. Capped with limit it does neither: it lays out the fixed number of lines its items fall on, takes the room of them, and sits in the host's scrolling column or in a BlockPage — which is how an archives teaser is drawn under a publication's highlighted issue.
